Day 1
Welcome in Otta. The train system in Norway is good. If you arrive by plain, you can easily take a train to Otta. Ofcourse I’m happy to assist you if you wish so.
After we’ve met we head out to Grimsdalshytta, our accommodation in Rondane NP. On our way we pass a spectacular double waterfall.
Day 2 until day 5
We have four days to photograph the beauty of Rondane in every way possible. Keeping weather conditions in mind, we plan our activities day by day. We use the days to a maximum, from beautiful sunrise to gorgeous sunset. We’re not in any hurry and have lots of time for landscape, nature and macro photography. Our tummies will get satisfied too, as we enjoy our lunch in this impressive landscape.
The park has lots to offer. With 10 mountains above 2000 meters and countless lakes, you can practice using reflections in your photos. There’s a chance we can see moose, reindeer, starling and even the polar fox. With favorable aurora borealis conditions we can also see the northern lights. Your vote counts; we plan workshops, post-processing and feedback sessions as you wish. This is all for you!
Day 6
We move a few kilometers and stay in Furuhaughli, in the neighboring national park Dovrefjell. Dovrefjell is the place to be to spot musk oxen. It’s also a good base to visit Snøheim. We spend sunset with a view on Snøhetta.
Day 7
Today you have the opportunity to photograph the musk oxen in real life. With an experienced guide we head out to track these phenomenal giants. No guarantees, but they’re almost always spotted. They’re not shy, so how close do you go to get the best photo?
Here too, you have the chance to see moose, reindeer, starlings and polar foxes.
Day 8
All good things come to an end. After spending an amazing week together in Rondane and Dovrefjell, today is the day to say goodbye. We part ways at the train station of Otta. Also here I’m happy to assist you if you wish so.
