The Nairoshi Foundation is part of the Building Hope Society. They are doing important work in Kenya for a better future for the youth. The Nairoshi Foundation is headed by the proud Masai, David.
He is committed to his community, by building a school complex, among other things, where children are given the opportunity to study. To continue their studies, the children depend on donations and sponsors from all over the world.
Travelmarks photography is happy to contribute to the Nairoshi Foundation. You do to automatically, when you book a trip or workshop with us, without paying extra for it. Part of it goes to David's project. We know the community very well and are happy to contribute.

I gladly introduce myself, after all it’s nice to get an impression of me too. I’m Mark, welcome! Born and raised in 1980, in the picturesque town, called Tegelen. My roots lie in burgundy Limburg.
I live a happy life, together with my girlfriend. We enjoy the little things, spending time with friends, visiting a theater play, walking through nature, a cultural visit and definitely also enjoying the culinary kitchen with a good glass of wine.
Another important element of our travels. We work directly with well-trained and educated tour guides who understand what photography is all about. Because we work directly with them, they get better earnings and it works for both of us to our satisfaction.
Support local life is our priority. All our local guides are of absolute added value for our photo trips outside of Europe. They are the 'experts in the field' and know how to guide us to those hidden gems, where no tourists normally come. Find out which guide is on which trip during our photo trips.
Outside of the Nairoshi Foundation and direct collaboration with local guides, during our photography tours we focus on the local communities we visit.
We believe that 'the gift of travel' only happens when you come into contact with real local life. An introduction to special and authentic cultures. Encounters you will never forget and will form precious memories forever. For us and for them! We always leave something that benefits the community. Until we meet again!
We have incorporated our vision with regard to the sustainability policy in a document. You can read this document here Download the document at the bottom of the website for the English version.
