Photography day Rotterdam

Rotterdam is perhaps the most beautiful city in the Netherlands, especially when it comes to photography. It is a fantastic city for street art photography and spectacular around sunset and the blue hour on the Kop van Zuid. With the World Port Days there are numerous activities with the highlight... fireworks above the Erasmus Bridge! You come to the right place at the right time to take cool photos and the guidance is self-evident.

What does the course of the workshop look like?

We leave from Venlo, with anyone who wants to carpool. After all, this is better for the environment and so relaxed! Are you from another part of the Netherlands or is it more convenient to drive directly? That is possible and allowed, of course.

We leave at 11am. Upon arrival we get started with street photography. We have plenty of time to take pictures at our leisure. There are plenty of dining options at the Markthal, where you can get a snack around dinner time. Before sunset and the blue hour we will capture the Erasmus Bridge at its best... a true gem!

Diana Venis-Kerkhoven – photography guide at Travelmarks Photography

Diana is a guide at Travelmarks Photography, where she shares her love of landscapes and night photography with passionate travelers. With her calm approach and years of travel experience, she puts photographers at ease and inspires them to deepen their creativity.

Whether capturing the soft light in beautiful nature or capturing magical evening scenes – Diana patiently guides participants and attaches great importance to a pleasant group dynamic. 

Practical information:

• If you have a tripod, bring it with you.
• If you have any filters, bring them with you. You can use polarizing filters, ND grey and gradient grey filters are all useful in this workshop.
• You can also borrow a tripod and/or filters.
• We start on time, so be there!
• We gather to carpool in Tegelen, located near Venlo.
• Would you rather drive straight to Rotterdam? That is of course always possible! We will then meet on the square in front of the Markthal.
