The Nairoshi Foundation
The Nairoshi Foundation is part of the Building Hope Society. They are doing important work in Kenya for a better future for the youth. The Nairoshi Foundation is headed by the proud Masai, David.
He is committed to his community, by building a school complex, among other things, where children are given the opportunity to study. To continue their studies, the children depend on donations and sponsors from all over the world.
Travelmarks photography is happy to contribute to the Nairoshi Foundation. You do to automatically, when you book a trip or workshop with us, without paying extra for it. Part of it goes to David's project. We know the community very well and are happy to contribute.

Local guides
Nog zo’n belangrijk element van onze reizen. We werken direct met goed opgeleide gidsen in de toeristische sector, die begrijpen waar fotografie om draait. Omdat we rechtstreeks met ze werken, krijgen ze een betere verdienste en dat werkt voor ons allebei naar volste tevredenheid.
Support local life staat bij ons hoog in het vaandel. Al onze lokale gidsen zijn van absolute meerwaarde voor onze fotoreizen buiten Europa. Zij zijn de ‘experts in the field’ en weten ons naar die verborgen pareltjes te gidsen, daar waar normaal geen toerist komt. Bekijk welke gids met welke reis meegaat, tijdens onze photo trips.
Local communities
Outside of the Nairoshi Foundation and direct collaboration with local guides, during our photography tours we focus on the local communities we visit.
‘The gift of travel’ ontstaat volgens ons pas echt, als je in contact komt met het echte lokale leven. Een introductie in bijzondere en authentieke culturen. Ontmoetingen, die je nooit meer zal vergeten en voor altijd waardevolle herinneringen zullen vormen. Voor ons en voor hun! We laten altijd iets achter waar de gemeenschap mee gebaat is.
