Photography weekend Milky Way - Burg Eltz
The Milky Way… which photographer doesn't dream of that?! Just over a two-hour drive away, in the Eifel region, lies a dream location for photographing the Milky Way… Burg Eltz! You can be there during this ‘one of a kind astrophotography workshop’. Spectacular photos are in prospect!
Of course we need good conditions for the galaxy. The summer is an excellent period to photograph the Milky Way. The core is still nicely above the horizon. The Milky Way can also be photographed fairly early, so we don't have to go out in the middle of the night. If the weather really
throws a spanner in the works... don't worry... we will plan a new date in consultation.

visiting Burg Ehrenburg during the day, another gem in the Eifel. We won't be skipping the double waterfall either, of course!
What does the course of the workshop look like?
We leave from Venlo, with anyone who wants to carpool. After all, this is good for the environment! Are you from another part of the Netherlands and is it more convenient to drive directly? That is possible and allowed, of course. The day starts with photographing a beautiful waterfall, located near Burg Eltz. In the afternoon we check in at our accommodation.
After dinner we set course for Burg Eltz. Here we start with the sunset and the blue hour to take the foreground photos. Around 11 p.m. it's time for the Milky Way. You will also get a demonstration about shooting with a start tracker. Of course you will also get the photos made with the starttracker! Saturday morning we enjoy a delicious breakfast. After breakfast we delve into the post-processing of the Milky Way photos. You only get real results after the processing. After lunch we visit Burg Ehrenburg and in the evening we go again to Burg Eltz for the second round of Milky Way photography. Sunday morning the river Mösel is our backdrop

Mark has years of experience in photography and knows better than anyone how to capture the power and beauty of the world with your camera. Practical information:
- If you have a tripod, bring it with you.
- If you have any filters, bring them with you. You can use polarizing filters, ND grey and gradient grey filters are all useful in this workshop.
- You can also borrow a tripod and/or filters.
- We will leave promptly at 10:30 am on Friday and will be back on Sunday around 4:00 pm!
- If you want to drive directly to the Eifel, you will receive the address to navigate.
- Bring your own lunch for the first day. We have lunch together in the field at an idyllic spot in the Eifel.
- In the evening we agree together where we eat it. We take into account any preferences.
