Day to day shedule
A carefully composed photo tour along Iceland's most beautiful south-western spots is ready for you. Extraterrestrially beautiful landscapes alternate with breathtaking views, this country is food for your camera. We travel in the winter, this is the period for the Northern Lights! And of course there are many more winter highlights waiting for you. A richly filled memory card guaranteed. Let yourself be surprised!

Day 1
Reception in Keflavik. The advantage of Iceland is that in every part of the country there are special elements. After reception we set course for Kleifarvatn and then Brúarárfoss, the spectacular blue waterfall!
Day 2 until 7
We have many more highlights in store. We set course for the most beautiful place in all of Iceland, the western peninsula of Snaefellsnes. In addition to the beautiful Kirkjufellsfoss, this peninsula has even more gems in store for us. The famous Djúpalónssandur beach, Anarstapi, Búdir and real volcanic craters are just a few examples.

We'll be staying in the same accommodation here, and the photography locations are all a short drive away. It's nice not having to check in and out or travel extensively... meaning more time for photography and your own free time! There will also be plenty of space for asking questions and, of course, for spending time together without the cameras. A great travel experience with truly ample time at the photography locations. You'll return home not only with stunning photos but also with personal growth in your photographic journey!

Day 8
With great reluctance the last day has arrived. Many highlights have passed in review. What a journey, what an experience, what an adventure! On the way back we visit the Lava tunnel Raufarhólshellir. Later in the day we head towards the airport for the return flight.

Practical information
Guidance:
Joost Smeets photography guide at Travelmarks-photography
“Photography is capturing the beauty of life.”
Joost Smeets is a 41-year-old passionate semi-professional landscape photographer from the Netherlands, currently based in Nazaré, Portugal. After a long creative break, he rekindled his love for photography in 2021 — and hasn’t looked back since.
For Joost, photography is more than just taking a picture. It’s about the entire journey: preparing the gear, traveling, finding the perfect moment and location, immersing himself in nature, and finally seeing the result displayed on someone’s wall. Every photograph tells its own story. Beyond the artistic aspect, photography also serves a therapeutic purpose. Nature brings peace, calms the mind, and relieves stress — a quiet power that’s reflected in his work.
