Night photography, and specially the magic of the evening, gives an extra dimension to the photography experience. For this workshop we use the Maas boulevard in Venlo in our compositions and try to capture the lighting and reflections in this urban environment.
Aspects that we’ll look at are color, white balance, lighting and camera settings. Capturing the movement of clouds at sunset, photographing traffic in an urban environment (using exposure time and diaphragm). Spectacular photos guaranteed!
What does the course of the workshop look like?
After a short introduction we’ll go over some basic night photography theory, which also includes looking at our equipment and location. Photography level isn’t important, both beginners and advanced photographers are welcome.
We have plenty of time to try different techniques and get the right composition before the blue hour sets in. Even after the blue hour we will be able to make sparkling photos with the right settings. Afterwards we give ourselves and our cameras a well-deserved break with a cold drink and feedback on your best pics.
